Hi, Hi I had to drop out of the program about a month ago due to getting kicked out of the house/ ect. and have decided to try again... Is that ok? Everything's squared out and I'm absolutely determined to get my guys on a raw diet. Here's my old application I'll put any new information in bold.

1. Where did you first learn about natural diets for ferrets?
I am crazy and did a whole bunch of reading/research before getting my first ferrets and read about it on the interwebs.
2. Please describe the type of diet you would like assistance in switching your ferret(s) to. Be sure to include if you are interested in feeding whole prey (live or frozen-thawed) and if you are wanting to FULLY switch to a natural diet or PARTIALLY. If you are unsure what kind of diet you want to put your ferrets on, please express that and we can help you find the best type of natural diet for your ferret.
I would like to feed a mix of live, frozen-thawed and frankenprey. I would realistically love to do only whole prey but due to budget constrictions that isn't quite possible right now. Realistically they might still get kibble (if they still accept it after the transition) if they are in other people's care though. It depends on how open the care taker is to feeding them raw food and making sure it doesn't spoil ect ect.
3. Why are you interested in switching your ferrets to a natural diet?
It is the healthiest thing for them. You don't see wild animals eating kibble. Plus even the "good" stuff is pretty darn crappy for them it seems. Wysong is also waaaaaay to expensive for me.
4. Do you understand that switching your ferret to a natural diet can be a lengthy, arduous process? Its not an overnight switch. It can be a commitment of several weeks or even months. Your HF Mentor will be more then happy to assist you in switchng your ferret(s) to a natural diet, but you need to be equally as commited. If you aren't willing to tough out a potentially lengthy switching process, or if you have major life changes approaching (baby on the way, moving, starting school, getting married/divorced, etc) then it might be a better idea to wait on switching your ferret's diet until you have more time. Are you willing to make the commitment?
I understand completely. It took me quite a few weeks to even switch them to EVO. I am fully committed to switching as I want the absolute best for them
5. How many ferrets do you currently have? What are their names? Ages? Genders? Do they have any health problems? Are they overweight? Underweight?
I have three ferrets none of them have any signs of health problems and I just took them to the vet Now I have four ferrets. Valentino doesn't have any health problems either he's about 4 months old
Weasel: Male, 2.9 pounds about 7-9 months old
I don't really know the difference between a fat ferret and a toned ferret but he's kinda squishy.
T.W.O Male 7-9 months old I think he's a little skinny personally because it seems a little bony by his rear
Mink: Female 3-4 months old 1.5 pounds she's pretty muscular and not nearly as flabby as Weasel. She also has a really high stance Lol she looks like she tiptoes around the house.
6. What diet do you currently feed your ferrets? (Please include all treats, supplements, etc)
I give the T.W.O Weasel and Mink bone in chicken as of now. Weasel likes liver the other two do not yet. I'm trying to get Valentino on soupies. A lot of hand feeding him at the moment.
7. Have you ever tried to switch your ferrets to a natural diet in the past? If yes, what happened?
Raw feeding seems to be going OK with the three. I'm not sure but I think Weasel may have lost a little wieght. His tummy doesn't look as fat. I don't see him eating as much as the other two when it's bone in but he eats gizzards and liver like they're going out of season.
8. What additional information about yourself or your ferrets would you like to share?
They're pretty active and inquisitive. Right now I'm trying to get Tea (Valentino) to the point the other three are.
9. How often during the week do you have access to a computer?
Pretty much every day
10. Please post a picture of each of your ferrets (if possible)
