OMG!!!! That's amazing Congratulations! Amazingly stubborn, frustrating little creatures, aren't they? Then they turn around and do exactly what you thought they'd never, ever do So- how much did he decide to eat?

Wings, turkey necks, quail if you can get it, pork, beef, rabbit if you can, drumsticks, thighs, heart(any kind), kidney(any kind). Basically a good mix of at least three of the above, keeping in mind they'll have more bone in meats than straight meats in their final diet plan. Keep giving Scratch muscle meats for now, though. The one that's acceptable for now, and for a few more days, then start introducing new meats to him. I still can't believe he changed his mind almost between one minute and the next

alright so ill go get that this afternoon, he really is such a weirdo though! but come to think of it its not the first time i give him some of that perticular meat and last time he ate a bit on his own too but not too much, especially compared to yesterday! but do i get more meat that has bones in it and for scratch i can just scrape some of the meat off the bone for him? or do i just get like chicken cubes or whatever?

Right now, give him whatever he'll willingly eat, and whatever's easiest for you. You can worry about mixing in new meats once he's comfortable with it. Shouldn't take more than a week. The really great thing about this diet is how forgiving it is. It takes a lot longer than a week for any dietary insufficiencies to show up!

alright well i bought almost every gross looking to humans meat i could find lol;hearts liver, backs, wings, gizzards and chunks. i got beef, chicken, lamb and porc, tried to bring some variety to their menu so i can see wat scratch will and wont eat. im guessing getting him to eat bones is going to be one heck of a challenge though...

Who knows? We both thought he'd be forever before he ate anything willingly I'm laying odds it's more the liver/organ you're going to have trouble with!

It's going to take a while for his jaw strength to build up enough to crunch bones. Eating(and having to chew) the larger chunks will start him well on his way, and you can always offer wing tips as well.

keep giving him largish chunks for about a week. Then graduated to wing tips for a few days, and you can also offer some wings disjointed. Once you've got them in 3 sections, cut the middle part between the bones, and cut the drumette lengthwise to show the marrow.

alright, i usually try to cut through the bones anyways when i cut the meat into chunks. i gave them chicken necks and backs yesterday and all is gone now, scratch did eat the meat right off the bone, but im not sure molson just ate all the bones to himself.

Please remind me- what kinds of meat are they eating now? And are they eating any liver/organs? Sorry- been really busy, and am frankly too lazy to look back through the thread

molson eats everything, scratch seems to finally be doing the same, i got him eating the meat off the bones all on his own now.
