Via the ferret.com forum, you (Giuli) and a few other members there. I'm SO glad you've created this forum. My ferts will be glad too once they stop being silly!

I was referred here by Maria. I meet her off the Dogster website. Others said she had ferrets on a raw diet and I had just got my first ferret and wanted to go raw since my dogs were both on raw. So on Dogster I had asked her a bunch of questions a while back ago.

I joined forum.ferret.com in June and found that many members fed a raw diet. When I started asking questions, Giuli led me to for forum (THANK YOU GIULI!).
As far as advertising techniques, it could be helpful to post information about the forum on Craigslist.com.... Just an idea. If you like that idea I would be more than happy to make posts for you, either you or I could write something up. Let me know with a PM if you'd like to try it and see if you get any responses!

I found HF by googling Ferret Forum. I belong to quite a few forums and always get great info.
When I joined I didn't know what I was getting in to lol. I just wanted good ferret care and now I am on the way to being totally switched to a raw diet. This is the forum I go to the most because the people here are real (if that makes any scence).

Guili's boyfriend is a member of The Lazy Hammock.. He knows I feed raw and he pmed me and told me about this website. I was spectical because I thought it would be one of those run down one post a day forums. But I was wrong! And I'm happy to be here.

Honestly, I was on Natural Ferrets that I read religiously every day for like 3 weeks before I saw you doing a contest for a Tshirt slogan. And you didn't have the forum website listed at the bottom of your posts, so I somehow managed to email you (who understands those Yahoo listings?) and asked what the slogan was for. Thats how I found my way here, but you really need to stick the website as your siggy on every single forum. And you should advertise on every forum you can even if you don't post often.

Thank you animalsgetrevenge and pear2apple for your advertising suggestions. animalsget: I tried advertising on craigslist and get this....my post kept getting flagged! I was told that I couldnt advertise because I wasnt a LOCAL service. I kept trying to repost and the stupid flagging forum kept pulling my ads down. I tried to talk to them and I said that I'd seen other ferret forums advertise on craigslist and their ads werent taken down and the stupid flagging people were like "so what, that doesnt mean they were right in posting advertisements" WTF? BIG headache, I was pissed that I couldnt advertise on CL because I know it would bring in alot of people. Maybe I should just say screw it and try again? Pear: I have my forum address in my siggy on a few forums I belong to. I have to be courteous though because not all forums want you advertising for your forum on theirs I try to get active on as many forums as possible. I think the biggest thing I'd like to see is an active discussion of raw diets in the nutrition section of EVERY ferret forum out there. I know that ferret.com forum and ferret village forum seem to have discussions about raw, but I see some other forums out there where raw rarely comes up. I think by keeping raw a common topic that comes up in those nutrition sections, more people can find out about natural diets (and of course, our forum). If anyone is on a ferret forum that doesnt have many posts about natural ferret diets, I encourage you to bring the topic up. If you would like info to post, or if you'd like to know how to start a discussion on natural diets just let me know. Usually you only have to light that first spark and then people start asking questions on their own

I was a member of the yahoo Natural Ferrets group, and Guili posted information about it. But I didn't really plan on joining until she suggested I do so on Ferret Village in a post I made about raw food stuffed ferret toys. I still waited to join because I only occasionally give my ferrets raw food, and no one is actually eating enough to get full on it, and I have yet to move to my new home where I planned to start the switch, but Natural Ferrets turned online forum from a yahoo group, so when I joined there, I decided to join here.

I saw Giuli's posts on the Ferret.com forum and they mentioned the holistic ferret forum. Her and another girl were always talking about whole prey and raw so I got extremely interested in learning more about how to feed a natural diet (I already knew a lot about it, just not the details on it that I needed to have the confindence to feed it =P).
