Some ferrets just dont like eggshell OR liver. If he's eating the bone 4-5 days per week you can forgo the eggshells, but liver is pretty important. Its a source of vitamin A, vitamin C and other essential nutrients. Here are the suggestions that I offered another member on the forum in regards to how to get the babies to try liver:
Don't worry, some ferrets take a while to acquire a taste for organ and liver. You have several options:
If you tried beef liver, try chicken liver (and vice versa) Im sure you already tried organic liver, but if not, give it a shot Try mixing the liver with a little heavy cream (most ferrets love this stuff) Try mixing the liver with some kibble (yes even for Didj and Ramona) Try cooking the liver (and then as time goes by gradually cooking it less and less until its just raw) Puree it up and put it in a feeding syringe and syringe feed it to them (if they actually TRY it they might find they like it)

Another thing to try is freeze-dried liver...it's less stinky and less flavorful. It can be crumbled into food very easily. It can be coated over meats, or you can cut a slit in a chunk of meat and sprinkle the crumbs into the inide of th meat instead. This way, the stronger taste of liver can be introduced more gradually.

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your time away. You were on vacation. Right? Anywhoo once you get settled in work on getting molson onto that revised feed schedule I gave you (on page 2 of this thread). Let us know once he is regularly eating according to the schedule and then you'll be ready to "graduate"! Im excited! He's come a long way from not even wanting to eat bone or liver

Its okay if you can't follow it to the letter, just do your best to get the 4 days raw meaty bones, 2 days boneless meat, 1 day organ meat. What types of meat you feed might be limited (atleast until you get more money) but as long as you stick with the 4day-2day-1day ratio above you'll be good to go

Veal liver is just fine. Feed him a piece no bigger then HALF the size of your palm no more then 1x per week. I'm happy to hear that you've got him on the new schedule! Let me know how this week goes on his new schedule, and then you'll finally graduate! Yippie! He's come a long way! I remember when he wouldnt touch bone. Now look at him! I'm so proud!

Excellent. What foods have you given him recently? I'm so proud of the little guy! Is he on his new feeding schedule? I thought you had said he had back tracked a bit and had to go back to the kibble for a bit. Or maybe I am mixing you up with someone else, if I have I am sorry. (ugh...looooonnnngggggg day) Could you clarify for me? If he HASNT backtracked is he back on his schedule and eating his bones and his organs and his meats?
