I'm so proud of my babies' progress! Bear is a pro. He knows just what to do when he sees that yummy piece of meat! Tonight, we had pork steak! Mia quickly learned from Bear...YAY! Her first piece of raw meat! Vincent just likes to nibble and play for now- but its a huge step for him! Bear and Yayo fight over who gets this yummy piece! Yayo ate her first piece of raw meat today too! (Marcellus was being a butthead and ignoring all of us...as you can see he is more concerned with somebody taking his toy )

Not very smart, I would have used my marshmallow and 1 make hole bigger. 2 put rabbit in. 3 Lock hole. 4 Cover out rabbit sent. Ya, its on topic, this is about ferrets and meat, I revealed how he should have stashed it.

Took this one this morning of the kids eating their first chicks. Notice how there's another chick right next to them that's obviously not as good

That's hilarious..."Mine!!!!! It are my chick!!!". I also really like the whole rabbit ones, neat to see them trying to stash and they look so content while enjoying it later on, what a feast.

The rabbit - do they eat the whole thing? It looks sooo big compared to the fuzzies I (now) don't mind feeding whole prey... but cleaning whats "left over" YUCK! The worst part!!! Here's my pics of this morning, after tossing the food into their feeding den! Usually they wander up one at a time, but I had to grab the camera of ALL of them squeezed in there at one time lol, Chicks, and chicken gizzards and hearts. Peyton and Izzy went for the gizzards & hearts (seems like Izzy's more interested in licking Pey's ear in this shot lol) Murtagh and Annie went straight for the chicks in which Murtagh steps over them to get some g&hs lol Peyton likes to snatch & grab, and eat in the tunnel. Too cute!!

Mine are weird and will eat the entrails of the mice, but not usually the tails. Then when I go clean out their feeding boxes, it's full of mice tails

Wish mine ate the entrails. Instead of leaving them on the cage floor, cage bars, my walls where they've shaken them out, my floor where they've landed...you get the idea

Yeah I'm very grateful they dont do that anymore. Dried entrails are so hard to get off of things, so I feel for ya

Wish mine ate the entrails. Instead of leaving them on the cage floor, cage bars, my walls where they've shaken them out, my floor where they've landed...you get the idea My boys (when they are eating whole prey----which unfortunately they are not currently eating due to my $ issues) will eat all the organs EXCEPT for the stomach and intestines. Its very interesting. They also dont like to eat mouse tails. And just an FYI those suckers can actually stab you and puncture your skin if they dry out and you step on one. (Blech!) Don't ask me how I know this. You don't wanna know.
