How is Bonsai now after you took a step back....is she eating well again?
Did you try the bone-in-meat with Samurai yet, and if so how did he do!?

Still no luck with getting Bonsai back yet.. As for Samurai, we haven't tried the bone in meat but I got my order from Hare-Today and I'm super excited. I've been REALLy worried about Samurai's poo as of late It's yellowish and really runny. s616.photobucket.com/albums/tt241/Skizzy928/?action=view¤t=SamPoo.jpgThat's what it looks like. Is there anything I can do for him to harden his poops up?

Yea thats totally natural, actually mine still get runny poops sometimes, it just means they arent eating enough bone.....and since Samurai isnt eating bone yet thats completely normal, but there is something to fix it for the time being before he starts on bone. Get some egg shells (I would say half a dozen to a dozen, but you can do it with less, say 5...if you want to make a small batch) put the egg shells on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for about 10 min on 350 (dont let them get too brown), ( this dries them out like the slime from the egg white left in them) and then grind them in the blender to an almost powder (power is good if your blender is a good one). Then you make a soup and add 1 tsp to the mix and it hardens their poop quickly after, and also replaces the bone nutrients they arent getting just yet. Keep up with Bonsai, she will come around...make sure your giving her raw still with the kibble, dont go completely off raw b/c its hard to start up again (imo) Good luck and let me know how the egg shells work with him!

I mixed the eggshells in Samurai's food. MUCH BETTER! haha
I started coating Bonsai's kibble in ground again today (Tryin' Pheasant this time, maybe she was getting sick and tired of chicken lol)
Still no bone in meat. But Hopefully by Sunday I'll be able to go to the supermarket and get some.

Im glad the egg shells worked! I would make a soup (at least once a week) and give them supplements they arent getting yet. Until they are eating bone they dont have a source of calcium which is very important! I would (when you go to the grocery store) get some bone in meats (chicken wings and some beef also some chunks of different meats) *I usually buy in bulk when I go and freeze it until I need it, so I know I always have something * Also get some chicken livers and hearts and we can make a soup with those. *for the soup I would blend 1 heart and 1 liver with some warm water and 1 tsp egg shell powder and a little bit of either vivify oil or olive oil (about 1 tsp) then add in like a tablespoon of duk soup and they should love this (I pour mine into a small saucer and they eat it from there, at first they may not like it so you may have to either syringe feed it slowly while scruffing, or put some on your finger and dab it on their lips to get them to try it.)* Also if you would like to add other supplements in you can, like I give taurine because this is essential in every animals diet and sometimes freezing meat makes the taurine in it break down. I also order dehydrated fish and liver, lung, etc...I blend these into a powder and use it as a supplement as well.....this is all totally up to you, you may want to start with just the essential things (like I mentioned above) so if you ever want to get into more supplements just let me know (Im a bit of a supplement freak lol)
