Hi Frank, Scott and I had a discussion last night, and we decided that we are not ready to switch to an entirely raw diet. Scott has been concerned all along about cleanliness, and we've also noticed a drastic weight loss that goes beyond spring-time body changes. With Solo being on a meat diet for a couple of weeks, we expected to see a big improvement, but we haven't seen anything but weight loss (it's ok for him to lose weight because he's chubby, but the others are already going through a hard time with the loss of Sid). We still want to incorporate raw meat into their diets, but we'd like to slow down the pace a bit, and keep them on kibble as a supplement. We feed a very high-quality mix. One good thing that has come out of this is that we've started adding raw meat to our cats' diet as well. We fully believe in the benefits of a more natural diet, but it just isn't right for us as a full-time thing, especially with 4 fuzzies, 3 cats, and 3 lizards to care for. I want to thank you for all the help you've given us, and for teaching us how to get the kids started on meat. We won't give it up altogether, and we might even try it again in the future. We have a freezer full of meat packets, so everyone will keep getting it at least once per day. Thanks again! -Blaire
