1. How many ferrets do you currently have? What are their names, ages, genders, and do they have any health problems (this is VERY important)?
We´ve just loose Kimi due to a vets mistake in medication. But we still have Tutun, he is a male sable, he is 3 years 7 months old, he seems to be in good health.
2. What are your ferrets currently eating? Include their main diet, plus any treats or supplements (such as duk soup).
He eats baby rats cut in pieces in the morning and Mazuri the rest of the day.
3. What kind of diet do you want to switch to?
I will like to stop cutting the rats for him, and as Heather suggested, I will like to star giving new preys to him.
4. Why do you want to switch to this more natural diet?
For what I´ve read I think this a better diet for him, and he really likes his meat.
5. Where/what/who got you interested in natural diets?
When we got Tutun, we started reading to understand what ferrets need, and I found out about this kind of diet, here in Mexico no one gives natural diet to their ferrets, is not a common practice.
6. Please list the current weight for your ferret(s). Do they appear overweight? Underweight? How is there muscle tone?
He is around 1.300 Kg, he seems ok to me, and the vet said he is un good shape.
7. What is the condition of your ferret's teeth/gums? (can you get a picture?)
I will get a picture, I promise.
8. Describe the texture/color of your ferrets coat.
It is a soft hair, he is now loosing some hair, due to season change
9. How often does your ferret go to the bathroom?
around 6 or 8 times per day
10. Does your ferret's feces and/or urine smell?
I think is the normal smell on them
11. Smell your ferret. How strong is their odor?
Not too strong, to me he smells kind of sweet or like coffee, jaja
12. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being completely lethargic and 10 being "through the roof!" what is your ferret's energy level?
around 8, when he sleeps he really does it, but when he plays, he can´t be stopped
13. How excited is your ferret about meal time (when fed kibble)?
He is really exited about his rat breakfast
14. Have you attempted to switch from kibble to a natural diet in the past? If so, what methods have you tried. Be specific.
We started by mixing chicken with kibble, and start reducing the amount of kibble, then we switched to rat, cut it real small, then increase the size, but we never got to give it in one piece, we still cut it for him
15. What other information about your ferret(s) would you like to share?
He loves sweet thing but since we read it is bad for them we stop giving sweet treats
16. If you can, please post a clear photograph of EACH of your ferrets directly below:

b.) Do you understand that if you will be away from your computer for an extended period of time you will need to exchange phone numbers (or email addresses if you don't feel comfortable exchanging numbers)via private message with your assigned mentor, so that we can monitor your progress and ensure your ferret's saftey during the switch?
c.) Do you understand that any threads that have not been updated in for more then a week (with no explaination as to why you are absent) will result in the deletion of the thread?***
