Just an observation.
It's difficult to see if there is a new post on a forum. Because the icons don't change.
An easy way, with less graphic work, is to have the colored icons for new and grayscale icons for read.

Thanks Kirsten. How would I make the icons grayscale?

Let me start by saying I know nothing about graphic design. But I did this in PowerPoint. Bring the image into the slide. Right click the icon and select "Format Picture". Half way down the window change the color from "Automatic" to "Grayscale". Click OK. Right click on the image again and choose "Save As Picture". You can also choose "Washout" to get the effect in the middle. I hope this helps.

Hmmm....I like that "washout" option. Is there anyway to adjust the level of washing-out? I like it I just wish it could be a *little* less transparent. Thank you for helping me Kristen

If you have someone do it for you in photoshop (I'd be happy to, if you decide you really want to do it) it's really easy to get that washed out effect to whatever degree of intensity you would like.

I definitely can. I won't reeeally have time to get to all of them until Tuesday. I finishing up an insanely stressful two weeks of exams and bad news tomorrow and need a day to de-stress and have some me time. I'll try to get them done Tuesday afternoon though, I should have time between my Human Geography class, math homework, and other stuff going on Here's an example though. Let me know if you think it should be lighter, darker, etc? vs.

Glad you like them, if I don't get them done in the afternoon tomorrow, I'll definitely try to get them done in the evening It's a nice distraction that will still make me feel productive XD

Excellent! Thanks so much Tako! I will get these up onto the site within the next few days (I have to get all these images coded and put into the system).
