Ok so now the story. I have been thinking about him a lot, and the last one I thought about that much I still regret not getting. This adorable little guy was still there when I got to the store - obviously! haha I took him out and he started snuffling my nose and ears! Then He got all antsy and was wrestling me and nipping me - perfect for Koda! haha I set him and Koda on the ground and they investigated each other. Koda kept trying to pin Kenai and they would wrestle, then get distracted by something. lol (usually me keeping them from running under one of the retail shelves haha) Anyways, every time I put Kenai back into the cage (I only have 2 hands! haha) Koda would try jumping up my leg to see where his new friend went. Then if I picked him up, he tried to jump from my arms into the cage after Kenai! haha And when I put Kenai in the cage, I would put my arm back in and he would try to climb up me and get back out to play! He already likes chewing on my pants and jacket drawstrings and digging the carpet. What have I done?!?!?! He is the most adorable thing ever though, and sooooo tiny! So everyone came home (Shane's house today) and got a bath with the same soap. I think Kenai will be a water weasel as he was enjoying sitting under the faucet, but hated being actually bathed. He cried al ot it was sooo pathetic! lol Koda tried showing him who was boss - and Kenai (who is experienced in ferret-wrestling, unlike poor Koda lol) fought back! Koda didn't know what to think and for about 30 min to an hour would flinch when Kenai went by. Such a big baby! Anyways, they are warming up to each other quickly. There has been some hissing and screaming, but no poops or blood so no found. Mostly though a LOT of dooking, and chasing and wrestling and war dancing. They are just now starting to really play like ferrets. They have a lot to teach each other. Kenai needs to show Koda how to be a real ferret, and Koda needs to teach Kenai how to get into trouble, how to use a litter box, and how to eat real food! haha As with Koda, I didn't even bother getting kibble. He will get soupies tonight, and they will sleep separately for a few days. Koda is happy, so I am happy.

He really didn't know what to think at first, but now they are romping like best buds! He is having the time of his life and they both seem to be having fun! They are still working out their little hierarchy, but they are getting along great!

OH so sweet! I can see why you couldn`t stop thinking about him!! congrats! how old is he? I would put him at about the same age Koda was when we brought him him, so 8 weeks. Do Marshall's ferrets usually come with birth dates on their papers? I forgot to get the papers and they didn't give them to me... But yeah, he's around 8 weeks and is a tiny little thing Marshall's ferret for sure. He loves tottering around exploring things and has already investigated my phone charger with his teeth, and discovered that the carpet is fun to dig in. That won't be a problem, as long as he does not discover it is fun to play under the rugs and chew the duct tape...but I am sure it won't take Koda long to show him that. He LOVES jingle balls by the way! He just can't seem to get enough of them, and he ignores everything else when there is a jingle ball in sight! And, as a plus, at the store I saw him go straight to the poop pile to potty. After his nap while Shane and I ate lunch (him in the kennel, Koda in his small cage) I let him wake up a bit. I put him in the litter box and, after trying to climb up the wall, he went potty right away in the box like a good little boy! I hope he is as easy to potty train as Koda was! His poop though...my goodness! Not only is it ridiculously HUGE for such a Teeny tiny little guy, but goodness does it smell! He has razor claws too, I will cut them as soon as we get home!

Lets see if I can put this together, new guy, Kenai, he has the ferret wrestling experience while I seriously dout he has the hunting thing figured out! (Note for newbies, Koda's mommy lets koda do real hunting, as in theirs actually a chance of his lunch getting away *whisper* lucky!) I see it like, if I'm wording this right, a equation, hunting vs fighting, similar tactics, 1 is against your own kind. Looks like koda lost so far to me.
My favorite part, from what I'm reading they are still like the best of friends, not actual in it to hurt each other, but knowing who's the toughest is very important. Guess why, the toughest one in the business is the protector. Hay Kat, I bet koda will teach him rubber is like a gummy worm and pillows like marsh mellows:P:D This isn't a usless post is it?
