I FINALLY after 19 years, got to hold the most wonderful animal in the universe! I gone to a pet store in Newport, and I couldn't believe my eyes! a REAL ferret, asleep! I tryed to to wake it, Mom did! I wanted to love on it and be loved back! But it was too tired, and just sniffed me! Finlay, it just looked at me, and fell asleep again! I wanted to see what they feel like, and at first I thought I scared it, nope, it was doing a happy dance!!! After what seemed like YEARS! The employees got UN busy enough to let me hold it! Wonder full fur, Very oily, and it smelled WONDERFUL! I coun't stop sniffing that delight full oder in, hours after I left!!!!!!!! ... ps, not as hansome as I thought I was! Attachments:

He looks like he was such a handsome little fellow, Aaron They are wonderful little balls of fur, aren't they? That musky smell does go away with a raw diet, however! I still miss it in some ways, but not how bad the bedding smells after a week, or the amount of poop they put out on kibble

I've found that wonderful musky smell remains on the poofters (the ones that have not been descented). Both Thor and Odin, still have that wonderful ferty smell despite being raw fed. Today, they all smelled of fresh grass and earth (they were all outside playing in their yard), no ferty smells at all. I'm glad that you finally got to snuggle a real ferret, Aaron. ciao

Great Pictures!!! I'm so glad you got to hold the little guy!!! Yes,, ferrets are soft fun to cuddle! They're very active and full of mischief when they're awake!!!! They can get themselves into a LOT of trouble - This is why well call them "brats"!!!! -jennifer

Congrats on your time spent with the fuzz!!! They are wonderful, and fun to snuggle when they are sleeping but they are real trouble makers!!! I recently discovered that Sophie Ann is an escape artist and when I went to look in on her a few min ago...she had escaped from her and Velma's cage and was ontop of the big cage and had knocked over a gallon jug of water spilling it all over the floor....ugh!
