I am looking for new ideas on creating another jungle gym. I want to challenge my ferrets both mentally & physically. I have this one already But I would like to build one out of the corrigated drain pipe. It's sturdy, easy for them to climb vertical, & big enough for my boys to crawl through. I am trying to come up with a design(s) that will help them build strength as well as keep them from getting bored. This is the material I am working with

This is the back of my Futon, i have added to it since this pic and it goes under it and i have added some cross tubes to it. "The THING" Cost about 20 bucks to make not including the bedding.

one thing i used to do with that kind of pipe is block off a few ends to make it like a maze. they would back up and have to go another way. dont do that with to many pieces to start. i learned the hard way it freaks them out. little by little block off ends. for some real fun you can zip tie crinkle mats into them or connect it to a rubbermaid container where you hang and hide different kinds of toys or stuff to dig in. I also discovered that my babies can go up the tubes at a 90 degree angle. if you had a piece of white pvc pipe you could easily connect it higher up and at an angle so they have a slide.

That black corrugated pipe is what keeps Hocus in the playpen! I kept the rest of it for them to play in, since you can bend it into shapes and curves. I considered drilling holes and zip-tying it around their cage, but when they get into loud digging moods, it's nice to be able to take it away too...

Kerit, you can drill holes and use plastic shower rings to hold it in their cage. its sturdy and easy to unhook when you want to take it away
