To me, that just shows how bright they really are! They've done amazingly well with only 3 days training in the zig-zag, and the "back up" is just too cute!  |

Looks like they are doing great! Can I make a suggestion? You need better lighting. The second video especially is a bit hard to see. Your ferts are cute and it looks like they are doing really well so far! Thanks for the trick ideas btw!  |

My boyfriend finally found our real video camera it is getting power now so hope i can soon get some videos with better quality These 2 was filmed with an old digital camera video. Just wanted to make a video og the zigzak before i had trained it a long time  |

Would you mind making a video showing HOW you taught your fuzz to back up? Like what process did you go through, and what hand gesture do you use?

Offcause My video kamera is lack of the driver and right kabel so have to find that but can see if the camera that filmed those 2 videos can make an ok video  But there are 2 methodes. 1. If your ferret is a "backer" you says the word you would use when it start doing it. When it just get ONE step back when you say the word you tell it how clever it is and throw the treat. The more happy you sound the more it want to do it. After a while it found out that word means back up. This can also be done with a clicker but i have never used clicker i use my voice. 2. methode it the "easyes" if your ferret have the "right temper". You "run"with baby step toward the ferret (just 4-5 quick steps) the ferret will then: back, turn around and run or just stand and look stupid If it backs just a single step you tell it how clever it is. Be VERY carefull not to hit your ferret with your feet and if it is a foot biter dont use this methode While it go back then say the word in a silly way(like I do in the end of the video), the reason for that is then it think of it as a play. This is one of the more diffical tricks and I only have 2 of the 3 i train that can do it right. It takes TIMES to learn because the ferret need to know the word not where the treat is. I will see if Birdie will play, she is the 2nd one i am starting to learn it. But have to caugh her on a good day |

www.dyrenes-beskyttelse.dk/docs/bakkeI can see with dogs the recommand this methode: I just tell it short: Niveau 1 Get your dog to stand in front of you. Place the treat in front of the dogs nose, take the treat hand under the dogs breast and say the word. when the dog get ONE step back. tell it it is clever. let the dog eat the treat and try again Niveau 3 Now you can do it different places and learn it to do it with the words it-self.. I guess it is easyes to get the treat over the head and not under the ferret if this methode work for ferret havent tryed it.
